super sunday

Dear Diary, today was very fun. i had a bit of sport, a bit of togetherness with my family, a bit of enjoyment and also a bit of going out to the mall. but "unfortunately" i didnt have a bit of spiritual satisfaction. well i almost made it though.

today i actually woke up early not like usually on weekends. at about 8! i went straight to the kitchen. i saw my mother and brother eating breakfast. so i had a breakfast. there's fried rice on the table. it was very good. my old maid, or that my family usually calls her "mbok" made it. it was my favorite food since i were 8. it is undeniably a high class food. might be my favorite food that i'll never forget in my life. i'm absolutely gonna miss it when i'm away from indonesia. mbok has been working with my family for about 38 years. yes, when my mother was still 9 years old. imagine that! being separated away to work for somebody else for half-time of your age. it's totally insane. she is very active and helpful too. she is possibly at about 70 years of age or more. she doesnt know when she was born.

after it, i had my ipod on my stomach and kinda laid down on the sofa. just a bit of relaxing after b'fast. a couple of minutes later, mike came in to my house and it reminded me of the tennis lesson that we're gonna do at 11 today. mike, my brother ,my mother and i went to kemayoran tennis club to play some tennis. it's the second week of tennis we'll play regularly from that moment on. it went well. the tennis fever is still on and there hasnt been any trouble yet. rene's supposed to play with us too, but he'd decided to do it in the following week because of laziness excuse. 2 hours of tennis went so fast for me. i'm also getting the rhythm of the game again just like 3 years ago. improvement is seen compared to the week before. well my first objective this time is just to do sport but i think i want to do better. i want this to become my hobby.

we went home and had some rest. i watched hbo but there's no good movies there. so i was wondering with mike if there's something we could do. i suggested to watch a movie and he agreed. at 16:30 we went to ex the mall to watch 'the curious case of benjamin button'. "I was born under unusual circumstances." And so begins "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button," adapted from the 1920s story by F. Scott Fitzgerald about a man who is born in his eighties and ages backwards: a man, like any of us, who is unable to stop time. We follow his story, set in New Orleans from the end of World War I in 1918, into the 21st century, following his journey that is as unusual as any man's life can be.
that's the movie telling us about. a baby that was born at the age of 80 and getting younger ang younger. find out how the man worked out with that kind of situation. i had to admit it's a fantastic movie. it is definitely a 5 stars movie. yes perfect!

actually i had promised my mom to be home at 18:30 to go to the church. but it didnt work out because the film it self took for about 2 and a half hours. i felt terrible to my mom and also my spiritual soul. well i havent gone to church for about 2 weeks. not too long for me but things changed. i had a lot of fake promises to my mom. mostly about the time of going home. last saturday (nandra's bday) i said i was going home at 11 but i didnt. this sunday, i wanna pay it by going to church with her but again i missed it. sorry mom.. well you might say i could walk out of the cinema and go to church with her, but the film. the film was tooooo goooood to be missed! too good!

so now at 10:27 i'm watching the match between aston villa and everton. still waiting for manchester united to play a match against derby! yeah defeat them! GO MANU!

adios..
