today is an election day. this morning at about 9 i went to the local voting location with my family to see how it's done and also to see my family votes. it was simple and also cool. just like how they did in america but much simpler and more unique. here are the photos that i would like to share to all of you guys.
and yeah today i also went to church to celebrate maundy thursday, or that in indonesia we usually call it white thursday. it's about 2000 years ago when jesus was caught to be punished because he had admitted himself as the son of God. the mess took about 1 1/2 hours. i went there with my family and my cousins from bandung.
Maundy Thursday (also known as Holy Thursday or Great and Holy Thursday), is the Christian feast or holy day falling on the Thursday before Easter that commemorates the Last Supper of Jesus Christ with the Apostles. It is the fifth day of Holy Week, and is preceded by Holy Wednesday and followed by Good Friday. In 2009, Maundy Thursday occurred on April 9th for Western Christian traditions including Roman Catholicism.
On this day four events are commemorated: the washing of the Disciples' Feet by Jesus Christ, the institution of the Mystery of the Holy Eucharist at the Last Supper, the agony of Christ in the Garden of Gethsemane, and the betrayal of Christ by Judas Iscariot.
